Metal base PP TD TAM offers an assortment of steel strips made of heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloys. Steel tape is thin-sheet steel with a thickness of 0.05 millimeters and a width of up to 620 millimeters (in our assortment), wound into skeins (spools, rolls). According to the production method, they are divided into cold-rolled and hot-rolled.
Also, the following common markers are found in the characteristics of steel tapes:
- extra soft (Russian OM),
- soft (M),
- semi-hard-worked (PN),
- cold-worked (N),
- highly-hard-worked (VN).
Usually the tape is galvanized or treated with a special anti-corrosion coating – to protect against moisture, rust and extend the service life. Also, the tape is characterized by high strength.
Purpose of steel tape
It is most often used as a binding packaging material for fastening pipes, fittings, double-glazed windows, brick blocks, boards and other lumber, foam blocks, metal blanks, etc. The strength of the steel tape is the main characteristic for its use when fastening large and heavy materials.
Its low cost and possibility of use in various fields are also a plus.
In addition, steel tape is often used as a material for the production of small metal products (tags, numbers, hooks, buttons) and is also used in the process of various construction works.
